Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common stone repair questions.

Repairs & Materials

Can chipped stone be repaired?

In most cases, yes. Chips are typically filled with a colour-matched compound and polished to blend with the surrounding surface. The final result depends on the material, and the size and location of the chip.

Can cracked quartz be repaired?

Many cracks can be filled and stabilized with a colour-matched resin, depending on the length, depth, and whether the crack runs through the full thickness of the slab. We assess this from your photos first.

Can granite chips be repaired?

Yes, in most cases. Chips are filled with a colour-matched epoxy and polished to blend with the surrounding granite pattern.

Can marble etching be removed?

Light to moderate etching can often be honed and polished out. Deeper etching may improve significantly without becoming fully invisible, depending on how far it penetrates the stone.

Can stone seams be repaired?

Yes. Old or discoloured seam filler is removed, the joint is cleaned, and a fresh colour-matched compound is applied for a smoother, more consistent line.

Can damaged edges be repaired?

Most chipped and broken edges — including corners — can be rebuilt with a colour-matched compound and reshaped to follow the original edge profile.

What if I don't know what stone I have?

That's common, and not a problem. Send photos of the surface, including a close-up that shows the pattern and edge profile, and we can typically help identify the material as part of the assessment.

Estimates & Process

Can you estimate from photos?

Yes. Send a clear close-up photo of the damage along with a wider photo of the surrounding area and your city, and we'll follow up with an assessment — most requests are answered within 1 business day.

How long does repair take?

Many single-area repairs (a chip, crack, or seam) are completed in one on-site visit. Larger restoration projects covering more surface area may take longer — we'll give you a realistic timeline as part of the assessment.

Will the repair be invisible?

We never guarantee an invisible repair. Our goal is to create a durable repair that blends naturally with the surrounding material. How closely it blends depends on the material, the damage, and the surrounding pattern.

What affects repair cost?

Cost depends on the material, the type and severity of the damage, the size of the area involved, and location. We provide an estimate after reviewing your photos, before any on-site visit is scheduled.

Service Area & Scope

Do you work on residential and commercial properties?

Yes — we repair stone and countertop surfaces in homes as well as commercial spaces such as offices, lobbies, and retail counters, across the Greater Toronto Area.

Do you offer on-site repairs across the GTA?

On-site repair is our standard approach across the Greater Toronto Area. We bring the tools and materials to your location rather than requiring the surface to be removed.
